The Night

Night

I lit a light
The gown of the night burns
But the Night is long-drawn-out
With continuation of the chignon of the Unknown
Like a bedazzled I lean on the frame of the door
The night continues
Till ‘I do not know’

The World is an illustrated Qur’an
The verses in which
Are standing instead of sitting
The tree is a concept
The sea is a concept
The jungle, the earth, and the cloud
The sun, the moon, and the plant
Come on…
Come on with eyes of a lover,
To read the World.
